Investment golden rule
fr Quantum Fund co-founder and commodities guru Jim Rogers in CNA programme "When The Bears Are Out - Invest Wisely"

1. Is it wise to invest in gold now and a valued asset?
- Plan to buy more gold.
- If adjust the old highs fr 27, 28 yrs ago, gold shld be more than US$2,000 an ounce just to get back to its inflation-adjusted high
- Bull mkt has anoth 10 or 15 yrs to go
- Not selling gold
2. Commodities mkt outlook
- Has been the best place in the last 10 yrs
- Commodities are up 400 per cent in the last 10 yrs
3. Argumed tt when commodities have gone up so much tt they will not go further up, but down?
- I happen to think commodities have at least anoth 10, 15 yrs to go in bull mkt
- No supply of anything = serious problems of commodities supply
- Booming commodities dd fr growing population and economy esp in Asia
[eg]
- No major oil field discovered in more than 40 years. All oil fields in the world declining
- No of hectares devoted to wheat farming has been declining for more than 30 yrs. Lowest food inventories in 60 yrs.
4. Tips to survive a turbulent 2008
- Buy low Sell high
- Fig out what you know a lot abt, do some homework and invest in it
- Dun listen to anyone
- Just stay with what you know and invest accordingly
- I don't expect to sell commodities until 2018
- I am buying Taiwan, Chinese shares, SGD, RMB, Swiss franc, Japanese yen, commodities esp agricultural commodities,
- I am selling short invt banks in USA if they rally
Conclusion: Agree with some point. Did and will do some of the above

Dunno wat you went thur recently. Life is unfair all along. I have my share of unpleasant experience and moments.
Look fwd and leave the unpleasant behind.
You have a choice. Can choose to be happy / feel gd. Learn it in a course. So let's choose to be happy and positive.
Jus rem 1 thing: I always free to be kapo aka listening ears and is free.

Is a matter of timing. Some meet the one earlier while some meet the one later.
Maybe I have missed him or we will find each oth later.
Life continue with/without him. Being single for a few and without any guy frends trained me to be independent or more selfish, self-centred? Got problems regardless of ur martial status
Agree with Diana. Will hint/tell the guy if I am sure tt I like him. Dun wan to live in doubts. So tiring. I even tried comfortation before. 'Forced' the truth out of him. Diana is awared too. Dun expect you to be like so cos everyone is different.
One way to be happy is be truthful to urself

Realisation / Reflection / Doubts 10
1. Govt job- Finally went to one of the govt hospital for interview
- I under-experienced
- Actually quite challenging and demanding job scoope
- Consider such govt job when ready/experienced in future
2. LT plans
- Current co hiring IA manager
- Too bad I under experienced
- Nice woring envt there
- Hopefully my new job is my ideal one or sth close to my ideal job lah
- Want and Must stay at my new job for at least 2 yrs
- Really gain some solid experience and knowledge
- Learn, explore and improve the system and procedures there
3. Frustrating and problematic cust [which is me] with PMS
- Went to Pasta Mania at West Mall last sat evening
- Crowded as usual cos dinner time
- Spotted a 2 seater and dashed toward it
- Managed to grab the seat
- Anoth lady stood in front of the seat a few seconds later
- The staff 'tried to resolve' the issue by asking how many person
- The lady mentioned tt she needed 2 seats and I got the tbl 1st
- But the staff OFFERED IT TO THE LADY INSTEAD
- WHY??!!! Simply becos of sales. Can make more money fr 2 than 1 person mah
- I left the place immediately
- The staff din offer any further help to me
- Ended up at foodcourt and saved a few bucks
Conclusion: Dun go to Pasta Mania at West Mall alone when crowded
4. Singlehood
- Went for expensive lunch to pamper myself
- Eating sth nice do brighten the mood..
- Have to do almost everything alone when can't get companion
- Dun and can't expect everyone to be free to keep me co when needed
- Training myself to be alone at times for a few yr.
- As far still ok la
- Anyway the lunch cost abt $15 which is a few time more than the usual $4 to $5 lunch at food court lah
5. Nice hang out and food
- Senset Way's dessert like creamy but light tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake
- Holland V's Wala Wala and Japanese bread
- Jurong Pt ground floor new food court's hokkien mee
- Din get to try Bota Jones at BB last wk. Go when less crowded
