1. Dun take anything for granted.

2. To Mum Shannon
Dear Mum, I noe what you can get for me as bday present for the next few yrs. Anti-wrinkles cream, slimming treatment, facial treatment.. so tt I can aged gracefully and beautifully. These pdt are cheaper than putting up advertisement over various media [newspaper, radio, magazine, internet..] to “sell’ me off as you promised to do a few yr ago. I din forget the promise!!
3. To Queen aka Boss SM
Dear Boss Shu Min, do “sell” urself before you “expire”. You are quite marketable given ur humorous, cheerful, positive.. Countless qualities.
Boss has reserved a room / bed for me in the old folk home nxt to her place. This comes at the rite time. I dun have to worry I have nowhere to go when I am old. I will have to start to make provision for various retirement and old age related expenses.
I hereby officially declared that I have given up hope on “selling” myself off.
4. Personal time and space
Family, frends, bf/gf [if have 1 but most likely nope], personal growth are very impt part of one’s life. I want to spend more quality time with them esp my grandma. My mentality has changed. I am more willing to slow down or sacrifice for them/ Hopefully it is not too late??
5. Dun be a workaholic
Life is a marathon. I dun wan and try not to tire and torture myself. I still have a long long way to go. I dun want to use up all my energy stamina at this stage.
Life is all abt balancing act. I am learning to balance it now. Work, studies, money, fame, status is not everything at times.
6. Follow my heart
I dunno my poly gf has the desire to put everything aside and travel / backpack and for a few mths. Maybe she can understd better why I like traveling so much. How I wish I can put everything aside and be irrational and emotional and follow my heart to do whatever I want.
I am gg to pursue my interest. I made a bold decision to tk CIMA [Mgt Acc professional course] which is relatively less popular here.
7. Definition of luxury
The simplest thing has becomes luxury. Good rest, happiness, carefree life, personal time and space, the courage to follow my heart and pursue my interest.. Luxury dun mean branded or tangible items at time for some.
8. Dun assume
I ask tones of stupid qn during work. I am not familiar with the work process and my work. I rather be seen stupid than to make mistakes. Anyway I am not very smart so is okie.
9. Nice ppl do exist
Guess I let a few colleagues vomit lot of blood while coaching / guiding me. Very nice of them to be so patient with me despite the dumb qn asked and trouble caused. The most amazing part is that they can tolerance my nonsense. Maybe they use this method to de-stress too?? They keep me company for lunch. The jokes cracked, teasing moments, sharing and helping each oth out sessions when in doubts. I shld learn fr them and increase my patient and tolerant level.
10. Relationship between career and marriage
I have stop daydreaming abt marrying a good and well-guy and live happily ever aft. I am not living in the old times or fairytale land.
It will be tough on the guy unless he is super capable with high earning power. The workforce needs manpower due to declining birthrate. If Sprean women stop working aft marriage, tax allocated to MOE budget will be wasted.
I am not in Korea or Japan where women normally quit their jobs and be gd housewives and mothers. I am not well and adequately trained to be gd homemaker and mother too.
