Melamine - Toxic Substance in China's Tainted Milk
Symptoms: Contact with melamine causes eyes irritation, skin and mucous membrances. Ingestion of melamine is harmful to kidneys and bladder and can lead to renal failure.
Uses: Combine with formaldehyde to produce resin in many products from white boards to countertops. Key ingredient in fire retardant materials.
